Embracing Change

Isaiah 43:18,19

Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?

If the old does not go, the new cannot come. Change WILL happen. Like the seasons of time, the winter, summer or spring WILL happen. The question is not about if, but when and what. We are in the last quarter of the year and God is about to do something new that will require obedience. Its not going to be a change that you like but it’s a change that is necessary to take you to the next level of your life.

In Genesis 12:1-4 ‘The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you. So, Abram went, as the Lord had told him…’.

In Genesis 13:2 ‘Abram had become very wealthy in livestock and in silver and gold’. D you ever wonder if Abram would have become wealthy if he never obeyed God? In just one move in obedience, Abrams life changed – his name changed, his status of one who didn’t have any child changed to becoming on who would be the father of nations. You need to make that move and it would require leaving behind somethings….

  • Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal what you need to let go off, so you can step into the new.
  • Ask the LORD for grace to obey as He reveals that next move you need to make.
  • Begin to prepare for the change.
