There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens…. He has made everything beautiful in its time.
If you live in the UK, you have most certainly noticed the sudden drop in temperature. As I drove to work, I could help but notice that the night seems to come very quickly with the clouds getting dark by 5pm! Summer is done. Autumn is here as winter gently waits at the door. Change is here, we can’t help it.
Each season of change like the weather, has a purpose. The summer ensures that humans have a healthy dose of natural vitamin D and helps to detox naturally thorough sweating and not to forget the gift of fresh fruits and vegetables. Winter temperature is great for sleeping and if you hate bugs, then you would be glad its winter for bugs can’t thrive in cold temperature.
There is a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace (Ecclesiastes 3:2-8).
- Appreciate God for the gift of times and seasons – appreciate Him for the times and seasons in YOUR life.
- Ask the LORD for discernment, to know what to do in this specific time and season in your life. (1 Chronicles 12:32)
